The Mission: Saturn Returns so We Depart
Maybe it's some sort of third-life crisis; maybe it's an astrological phenomenon; maybe it's just a good time for both of us to take an extended break before diving into new lives in the fall - whatever the case, this is the summer to realize a few of those things we've always wanted to do, but never had (or taken?) the time. I've always wanted to drive Route 66 from beginning to end. Beth has always wanted to shoot a gun. Well, no time like the present. I'm on sabbatical, between office jobs and taking the summer off like a schoolkid or teacher or something. And Beth, well, she's a schoolteacher who will have a great "what I did on my summer vacation" report come September!

So, this is going to be a semi-documented weblog project, eh what? I guess your plan is to upload photos and text at internet cafes along the way. It will be interesting to see how the project unfolds.

hello chickies: this is anne and i work with your mom karen at pru. fox & roach. i cant begin to imagine the most amazingly wonderful trip you're gonna' have. i'm so jealous. what an opportunity. i was thinking for nick names you can consider something stupid like "dixie & trixie or Pixie. i came up with these names after a few vodka and tonics - but i was thinkin of you both!!! enjoy!!!
I think Anne is on the right track -- so my suggestion would be "Vodka" and "Tonic"...you'd have to decide which was which... You go girls! Have a fab-u-lous time and know that there's bunches of people keeping you in prayers for a safe journey. WendyP
